Can my existing table bases be used for new commercial resin table tops? This is a common question we are asked. Below are considerations:

Hole Patterns

The bottom or underside of the tabletop works like wood. There are no hole patterns and basically any table base can be screwed directly into the table top.

Most of the indoor commercial restaurant resin table tops have a similar construction. The core is particleboard with a thin piece of wood on top and sealed with a glossy, scratch resistant top resin coat. The underside (bottom) of the table top has a sheet of fiberglass to give the table top greater structure strength.

Strength of base for table top

All table bases must be paired with the size of the table top; it's dimensions and its ability to hold the weight that the table will support. This takes into account the base’s spread of the legs and diameter of the column.
