Have you ever looked at the back legs of a chair? Some chairs’ legs angle backwards while others are straight up and down.  This is more than a style consideration. If your establishment is in an area where people may be inclined to put heavy coats, back packs, or purses on the back of the chair, a straight leg chair is more inclined to fall over backwards from the weight of what is hung on the chair.  The angled leg reduces the risk of this backward tilting

Do you have a lot of older customers?  Older patrons like arms on their chairs to make getting in and out of the chair easier as well as moving back and forth from the table.  Be careful though.  As Americans get bigger, arms on a chair can present a challenge to get in and out of.
